So your thinking that people who have nothing to do with what someone else does has to suffer bad karma. Fly by night Buddhists you sound like. Just like Sharon Stone, Buddha believes that you don’t think bad of anyone and don’t wish bad on anyone. That no one needs to have bad things said about them as when you say a bad thing about them you say a bad thing about yourself.
My opinion since it happened has been that what goes around comes around. China is hugely over-populated, and I for one find it hard to forget the images of dead babie girls that have been left on the streets because they wern’t boys.

Karma is on action and reaction: cause and effect. By those natural disaster, it is hard to tell what is it about.
Sharon Stone related the earthquake to Tibet but it is groundless. If you look at the weather after the earthquake and those picture about hills and mountains around the earthquake zone., you may conclude it is about global warming and environmental damage. This is more complying Engels theory: if human over exploits the nature, nature will revenge.
The cause of the earthquake should be due to much snow melting leading to too much underground water which was boiled by underground heat. Those steam offset the underground pressure and caused the earthquake. During the earthquake those vapor released and it was cool down and cause exceeding rain after the earthquake.
Why snow melt so much? you can see there was little trees in those mountain around the earthquake zone. The over exploiting on forrest destroyed the green belt which is to absorb the polluted air into the Himalaya. Without forrest, soil got eroded and easily washed away with rain. Those washed soil did kill a lot of people after earthquake.
Hence, Engels got thing right but no one listen.

Why don’t people realise that bad things just happen – it’s not down to some intentional cosmic penalty system.
I think the comment she made shows extreme ignorance and reveal just how far money can separate you from reality.
Hundreds of thousands (or millions) of innocent people’s lives have been destroyed, not by their government, but by nature.
It’s not fair – but blaming the government for something so completely unrelated is just a cop out. She doesn’t want to face up to the sadness of a disaster that happened in someone else’s land.
No wonder she didn’t give birth to any children, she has absolutely not one shred of a nuturing instinct in her body.

What on earth is she talking about? Just ‘cos she & the Dalai Lama are good friends she cannot judge China as a whole. There are living, breathing, good people there who did nothing to deserve this tragedy.
i like Sharon & her movies & i thought she was smart & savvy…am not so sure now.
What makes you think that China’s “karma” should be anymore worse then the Uk’s or America’s.
I suppose no one in the east is thinking the exact same thing in relation to ourselves. If you were objective you would realise that with the history of atrocities carried out under UK rule we should have been wiped out 3 times over.
All i know is innocent people don’t deserve too suffer.
